On Saturday 23rd March, 2013, as part of the Burns Youth Festival, our Annual Schools Competition was held at All Saints Primary School, Greenock with approximately 70 youngsters taking part.

Mr Robert Moran, Provost of Inverclyde and our President, Mr Iain Skene, graced us with their presence.

Mrs Elsa Hamilton, Inverclyde Education Services, adjudicated the Singing and Instrumental competitions.

Mark Robertson, a former competitor, was the supplied musical accompaniment with Laura Gallacher in support

Miss Rana Keane, assisted by Iain Skene, adjudicated the Primary 6/7 verse recital competition and the Art Competition.

Members of the Burns Club supplied excellent support in things such as stewarding. This was much appreciated.

Entries for the Art competition included entries from The Language Unit at All Saints Primary School. This was a great display and once again we thank pupils from Glenburn School for coming along to our prizegiving.

Thanks go to the Youth Committee secretary, Elsa , Treasurer Jim and all of the committee members for playing and active role. A special thanks goes to the Burns club for the financial support, which ensured that we had a most successful festival
