2015 – Coffee Morning
This years Coffee Morning was held on Saturday 24 October, 2015, within the Saloon at Greenock Town Hall.
A big thanks must go to Barclay Smith and his team who worked tirelessly preparing for the event and working hard behind the scenes.
Our piper Bill McCready, Past President, welcomed everyone with his renditions of traditional Scottish tunes.
Robert Moran, Provost of Inverclyde, kindly performed the official opening ceremony, which was much appreciated.
As has become a tradition, the first prized in the raffle was a specially made fruit cake, which was very kindly donated by Aulds Bakery, Greenock. This year theme was “A Cotters Saturday Night”
O Scotia! my dear, my native soil!
For whom my warmest wish to Heaven is sent,
Long may thy hardy sons of rustic toil
Be blest with health, and peace, and sweet content!
A big thanks also goes out to all who supported the Coffee Morning in any way, whether it was working at the event or donating towards it.
As usual, the proceed of the Coffee Morning will go towards funding the 2016 Inverclyde Secondary Schools Burns Supper.
