2018 – Annual Coffee Morning
We enjoyed another very successful coffee morning on Saturday 20th October 2018 within the Greenock Town Hall, which was officially opened by Provost Martin Brennan accompanied by his wife Veronica.
Following a nice cup of tea and home baking, Provost Brennan and his wife enjoyed browsing around the great variety of stalls.
After a slow start, the members and friends arrived in their droves to enjoy a hot drink and have a chat…aswell as enjoying what the stalls had to offer.
Following the tradition of many years Auld Bakeries of Greenock very kindly donated a cake to be raffled at the coffee morning. It was won by Margaret Nelson who very kindly gave it to club member Marilyn Currie who was celebrating a special birthday that day.
A grand total of £850 was raised with the proceeds going toward the funding of the Inverclyde Secondary Schools’ Annual Burns Supper
Jean Abdulrahim, Convenor of the Coffee Morning, would like to thank everyone for their kind donations and a special thank you to club members who worked tirelessly to ensure the event was a huge success.
