Young Persons' Membership Application
Greenock Burns Club (The Mother Club), as its name suggests, is the oldest Burns Club in the world. All enthusiastic Burnsians or people with a love of Scotland and its history, heritage and culture will find a home here where you can learn more about our national bard as well as participating in an historic Greenock institution.
Young people are the future of any organisation and we are particularly interested in growing our membership by inviting many more younger people join us. To this end, your first year’s membership will be free of charge and thereafter, you will pay just £5 (or 20% of the usual subscription) until you reach 25.
As a Young Member, you have access to all in-person and online meetings. These cover a range of relevant topics and will increase your knowledge as well as being entertaining.
You can visit the Club’s Exhibition Room and view our historic archives which are located in Greenock Custom House. Many of the club’s archive and photo collection archives are already available to you via this website and, through a partnership with The University of Glasgow and a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the amount of content available online will rise dramatically. We are anxious that members who are digitally savvy play an active role in assisting us in building that resource. Are you that person?
Please fill in the form and submit it and we’ll be in touch.
